Thanks for turning out on Sunday - although the Elephant White didnt show - I see this as more than simply a walkover victory for 3pts.

It was a victory because we had 14 players and they couldnt raise a team. It was a victory because we have taken 4pts off the Elephant and Castle this time around. I was really proud of the fact we didnt have to pull in ragtags to complete a game and that The Paddy Field had 14 players who enjoyed an even game played amongst ourselves with a competitive nature throughout - theres not another team in the league who could have done this, many borrowing players each sunday to make a full quota of 8.

RESUME:

The Paddy Field FC continues day by day to improve his playing level, his solidarity on the field
and now a real team is born.
This Sunday game was a great occasion for Gareth’s guys to confirm their rise in the Guangzhou league.
After a brilliant win in Dongguan against the “One for the Road” English pub, after having held in failure the champion in title Elephant&Castle last week, let’s see now how The Greens confronted Guangzhou’s Turkish team, called “Club Istanbul”.

Coach Gareth warned everybody before the game and let the players know the efficient attack the adversary has.

The game begins, and quickly PF FC settles in the Club Istanbul half of the field.
It was one of the best starts for The Greens, and Club Istanbul seemed the least strong team since the beginning of the league.
The stirring up of Jerome just like Gareth had the possibilities to score several times, but Goal keeper saves, posts, awkwardness let the scored as 0-0 after 15 mins. Cyril and Chuday didn’t stop to warn the players, to keep going in this way, but not to take it to easy. Not to go too fast.

And what should happen happened?
First occasion for Club Istanbul. A lack of attention, and here is the first goal for... the Turkish.
Inside the post or not, the referee decides to grant the goal.

Bad feeling for the moral. What happened after, nobody can explain it even today. The PF FC guys were dead during 15 min, just the time to let the Club Istanbul score 2 more goals.
Just before the half time, Jerome Aka the assassin, reduce the score after Gareth crossed the ball on his head from a corner.
2 min later, Chuday deliver a good ball to Gareth, who mixed speed and precipitation going round the keeper but taking the ball too far..


Half Time Paddy Field FC 1 – 3 Club Istanbul .


The second half was almost the copy of the first. PF FC dominated. The guys were on Place. Rich Irreproachable, Gregoraldera with two engine instead off his heart, Cyril AKA Mini Issake omni present, Grant and Kish who participated as much going forward as in defence.
But again, The Green guys were surprised by two long distance shots. Bobby the goal keeper, up to now perfect, was absent for those 2 shots.
At the end of the match, Jerome again, reduced the scored after a 20 metres strike.


This game looks like a women, you can dominate her, you can think to have everything under control, but this will never means that you will win.
